Stonehenge is the most famous historical monument in Europe and one of the wonders of the world, here you can journey across the ancient landscape formerly inhabited by Neolithic ancestors. Visit the Neolithic houses and learn about the different tools and objects used in Neolithic everyday life. There is also a world-class exhibition and visitor centre with 250 ancient items and the opportunity to meet a 5,500-year-old man.

Stonehenge’s year of origin remains a mystery, as it could have existed anywhere between 3000 BC and 2000 BC. The legend of Arthur mentions the Stonehenge as originally existing in Ireland and being forcefully moved to the north of Salisbury as a monument to the 3000 nobles slain against the Saxons.

In the visitor centre, you’ll be able to enjoy the audio-visual 360-degree view from within the Stonehenge and experience the passing of seasons from winter to summer. You’ll also be able to experience how the environment changed before and after Stonehenge. There is a café and shop on site to eat, drink and buy souvenirs.
