Many of Oxford’s major attractions are located right in the centre of the city, such as the University of Oxford and its 38 colleges; the Bodleian Library, the various museums, and Oxford Castle, making them all easy to access on foot.
Oxford, and the wider Oxfordshire County both have plenty of wide-open green spaces, which are perfect for socialising, sunbathing in the summer or playing sports. Just outside of the city visitors can enjoy a picnic in Christ Church Meadows (with excellent views of Oxford’s spires), feed the ducks in University Parks, sit on the riverbanks and relax in Port Meadow.
