Right on the South East coast, Eastbourne has many attractions and events that run throughout the year, and plenty of striking scenery to boot. From the traditional seaside English pier to the grand cliffs of Beachy Head, this picturesque place has all the charm one would hope to find in an architecturally rich Victorian town.

Eastbourne is spoilt with beautiful scenery and coastal walks; breathe in the fresh air as you stroll down Eastbourne’s seafront and pack a picnic to feast upon, on the beach. You can explore Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters and witness the magnificent views from the clifftop.

There’s plenty of culture to soak up too. For instance, there are many art galleries and museums to choose from, such as the Towner Art Gallery and Eastbourne Heritage Centre. Or perhaps you'd rather visit one of the many theatres or cinemas in the town.

The award-winning Eastbourne Airshow is held annually in August and provides an awe-inspiring display which features the best in military and civilian aviation display teams. This not-to-be-missed aviation spectacle welcomes the Red Arrows, Typhoons and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight amongst other things.

For those of you who may be budding active outdoor explorers, there’s plenty of opportunities to partake in outdoor activity, including sailing, windsurfing, paragliding, paddle boarding, canoeing and even roller-skating.

If you want to explore the capital city for a day, London is only 90 minutes away on the train. Whilst neighbouring seaside towns, such as Brighton and Hastings, are a mere 45 minutes away.
