General FAQs
Can you arrange itineraries that do not appear on your website?

Yes! We specialise in offering tailor made educational travel tours, and we can develop a programme which is designed especially for your group.

How do I book?

You simply need to provide us with the approximate number of students and adults, and the location/locations you wish to visit. We will check availability and hold an option for you. When confirmed, a 30% deposit will be required to secure the booking. The balance will be due six weeks before departure. We recommend you book at least 12 weeks prior to your departure date. However, do not hesitate to contact us for any last minute requests.

Which areas are covered?

We have around 70 centres throughout the UK including the London area, England, Wales and Scotland.

What is the minimum size of a group?

The minimum number of people is 10-15.

What is the minimum age?

There is no minimum age, however, we strongly recommend that students under 12 stay in hostels/hotels/residences.

Yes. Our team will provide you with a 24/7 emergency phone number to assist you if you have any issues during your stay.

Do you have centres outside of London?

Yes. We have several centres across England and some in Wales and Scotland as well.

We provide a family list with all the families’ contact details prior to departure. The children will need to ask for a permission to receive calls from home and check if no additional fees apply. Children can contact their parents on their personal mobile phones, however, they should check with their service provider before travelling to ensure they don’t incur any roaming charges.

Do students have access to Wi-Fi?

The use of the internet is at the families’ discretion.

Is there a good transport connection to the city centre from the area where the host families are located?

The majority of our centres are very well situated and the city centres are easy to reach, usually by train or bus.

What happens if the group is late to the meeting point?
We give you the contact number of the local organiser, so please make sure to call him/her if you are going to be late and advise him/her of your expected arrival time.

Hotel and Hostel Accommodation FAQs
What kind of hotel accommodation can Twin provide for groups?
Twin works with a wide range of hotels from budget hostel properties with multi-bedded dormitory rooms through to 4-star hotels. It is important to advise us of the ages of the students so that we can select the correct type of accommodation (some budget hotels are only suitable for older students).

Residential Accommodation FAQs
What type of groups are most suited to residential accommodation?

Residential accommodation is suitable for all kinds of groups, but we believe that they are most suited to younger groups as they offer the opportunity of staying together on a residential campus, often with sports facilities available.
